Our Community
We shall be known by the company we keep
By the ones who circle round to tend these fires
We shall be known by the ones who sow and reap
The seeds of change alive from deep within the Earth

“I felt instantly that it was the antithesis of “suburbia” The conventions of separation, both socially and spatially are blown apart by cohousing. I knew it is where I would belong.” – Thea

“It is a fantastic way to reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, we like the location and the social aspects of knowing our neighbours.”

We first became engaged in Urban Green when we walked by the property and noticed the official sign outside of it. It’s not too often that you’ll see an official sign for a building that is 80% a child’s drawing and 20% official building mockup. It seemed like the people in charge of a project like that would be people we would like to know. Upon further exploration of the project, we quickly decided that Urban Green was a place that felt right for us.
We believe in living our values, being good stewards to the planet, and having a community-driven existence. The location could not be better, the building is on the cutting edge of environmental design, and the people are amazingly supportive and fun.
We look forward to spending the rest of our lives living in a community that we love, in the heart of the city we cherish.
